AMISA recently held a successful Community Forum & Q&A on the impending changes to the Crown Lands Management Act 2016, the changes to the Trustees of School of Arts Enabling Act 1902, and the relationship this has for School of Arts in NSW on Crown Land or privately owned or managed land.
AMISA will continue to work with its members and the Dept of Lands. This support is open to all our members and any School of Arts in NSW. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for support or information. Many Schools of Arts would be going through a period of transition & adjustment on these changes including making changes to constitutions and management structure aligning with NSW Fair Trading Incorporation’s guidelines. It is important to support each other and to reach out to AMISA as your peak voice on such issues. We are there to help you navigate this period of change so it retains the best interests for your members and service users.
The Forum was held at the SMSA in February 2018. Further information will be provided later with a link on this page and will be made available for all Schools of Art in NSW.
