Jamberoo is a large village of 1000 people near to Kiama in the South coast region, 120 km from Sydney.

The original Jamberoo School of Arts building dated from 1873 and served its community well for many years in many ways including as the local picture show. The old building was demolished and a new Memorial Hall constructed in 2008. The original Honour Rolls containing the names of those who served in WW 1 had been affixed to the front of the old building. They were carefully removed and have been retained. The new entrance gate has been constructed so as to incorporate the Honour Rolls.

The new Hall is managed by Kiama Council and continues to serve its community as a public hall and a community pre-school.
